French artisanal know-how and industrial expertise are both applied to leather, with one single objective: quality. There have always been a multitude of leather-related skills in France, including tannery, leather goods production, saddlery, bootmaking or glovemaking.  French manufacturing owes its international reputation to its creativity and craftsmanship, in high demand from the luxury sector. As for the leather industry itself, it is already reconciling consumption and environmental concerns.
